Interracial America: Imagined Unity? or Reality.

Unless they are simply accepting the previous generations imaginary unity, today’s generation of youth has proven that they can see past skin color. The Gallup Report says that 87% of Americans in America favor marriage between blacks and whites, up from 4% in 1958. (2013) The major shift notable from this report is in the attitudes of the 18-29 age range, where 96% of young Americans approve of interracial marriages, or “marrying out”. Today’s generation has found that both races share common interests and common feelings.
