Socialization and THE FULL-METAL JACKET

In watching the film, Full-Metal Jacket, a lot can be learned about humanity. Man‘s needs, his wants and his hang ups. But the major theme of the film is that while most people tend to thrive off of other people, to be a soldier or even to survive in the real world, you need to have a strong sense of self, fearlessness, and a determination to live.
